Edan & I were batting around the idea of throwing a Big Money, winner take all, World Championships satellite event that could hopefully pay the winners way to the World Championships in Kentucky. So I'm throwing this out there to see if we have enough interest to pull this event off.
Following are the parameters we came up with (Feel free to let me know any ideas that might help get this off the ground):
Location - LA FoosClub
Date - August 11, 2018
Event - BYP's (both)
Time:
1st Tourney - 3 PM
2nd Tourney - After Finals of 1st Tourney
Entry Fee - $100 (plus $6 House/Progressive)
Entry Fee covers both tourneys
Format - 3/5 Winners - 2/3 Losers
Finals - Each Tourney's Winner play each other for the pot
We were thinking that everyone will get some good practice out of this. We're hoping to get 8/10 teams interested (10 Teams the winners split $2,000). I'm "thinking" if we get 11 teams $200 goes to the loser of the final/finals (that way they at least win their entry back). I'm figuring 10 hours can get this whole event done (if anyone knows better please chime in).
