My Foos Biography!
I first played Foosball when I was 11 years old (1970) in Lewiston, Idaho. My older brother imtroduced me to the game. I was inspired when my brother attended the first major tournament is the US in Missoula, Montana. It wasn't long before I was hooked. I co-owned a game room called Foos-N-Fun when I was 17. The co-owner and I played several hours per day for a couple of years before we participated in the 1977 $250,000 World Championship in St. Louis. That was the year that Todd Loffredo emerged on the scene and won his first doubles championship. This truly was the golden age for Foosball. My Foosball partner and I seriously considered going on the tour full time but decided it was too risky. Like many older foosers, I've been through the ebb and flow of actively playing and then going dormant (sometime for years). It's amazing to me that 40 years after the '77' worlds that many of us old-timers are still playing. May the Foos be with you!
