You're never going to get better if you dont see the flaws in your game. I'm very surprised that nobody has really ever asked me anything about how to become a better singles player. I have absolutely
no problem helping anybody get better because that makes me better and raises the level of our local scene.

Zeke...
Are you using the torque of the rod to get the power on your shots...I notice that you bend the rod before shooting the push from in back, but the short pull from back seems to have the same power...so how are you getting that power in your goalie shots?

Pinalyzer,

Sorry that type of information is highly confidential, if i tell you, i have to kill you. smile

When you bend the rod from the push side, you get a faster short and better stationary slicer. It's also easier to shoot that short. It also
adds more power to that particular shot.

To me, bending the rod a bit on the push side is more about helping hit the hole rather than power. most people cant get a tight short push shot
and typically end up hitting the second guy on the 5. With this technique you can hit right inside that guy and if the guy on the 3 rod cheats, you
can always do the slicer.

Hey Zeke,

At the AZ state tourney this weekend I saw (and got schooled by) 3 (goalie) to 5 bar passing, in one on one games. Is that just because I'm a crappy beginner or because its a real passing series from the back... I've seen a lot of 2 to 5 bar stuff that you've posted and that others have posted. Just wanted to hear your take on it to see if its anything worth practicing.

Additionally, any advice you can provide on the mental aspects of a consistent and fast pullshot would be greeeeattttlly appreciated... your youtube on the pullshot was very good because it let me see the grip, setup, and execution but I feel like there could be a follow up on it or an advanced video that goes over the ways to drill or practice (the right way like you mentioned) to build speed and consistency.

thanks!
