Here is what I currently have posted on our little "Tournament Rules" page on location (I couldn't find exact classification for VIFA so I used my best guess from your latest ratings post. Of course, it is subject to adjustment - lol) :

Player Rankings:
Players are ranked/classified as follows when applicable:

Class	VIFA Rating		League Rating
Master	2000 +	OR	9.0 +
Pro	1600 - 1999	OR	7.5 - 8.9
Expert	1000 - 1599	OR	5.0 - 7.4
Amateur	800 - 999	OR	2.0 - 4.9
Beginner	< 800	OR	< 2.0

I was actually thinking along the lines of what Joe said - as I believe "Desert Classic" originated here even before the 2005 McDuffy's version. That's pretty funny that the Palm Springs guys are using that now! Maybe we go with "The REAL Desert (not some phony desert in CA) Classic"? LOL

That said, it would be great to get/keep a regular annual event going, with a traditional name. For the time being, do you all think it's still worth voting/swapping names now, or just leaving as is?

(Btw, "Cactus Moon Massacre" - lol!)

It sounds like you live/work out west. Stingers Saturday isn't far from you, but you might have a good time at the Loft on Sunday; lots of new players and veterans hanging out there.

Topic: Both Stinger's tables now upgraded to T3000!

Both tables have been upgraded to T-3000 specs at Stinger's and are looking and playing fantastic! They made their debut last night, but will also be rolled in for the state championships this coming weekend at Cactus Moon.
