The turnout was pretty good again, but we did miss the California/New Mexico crew this time around
Everything ran smooth and finished early enough that we even held a "last-chance draw" for fun.
Phoenix had a great showing this time around, taking back the trophy for the first time in awhile by an impressive $505 to $130 score...

I think this was the first time I've seen this type of tournament be done before midnight. This is very enjoyable, and it's awesome to see things run smoothly and get done at a very reasonable time.
Kudos to Joe and TJ, you guys have great chemistry, and your games are coming along nicely. Phoenix stepped up this time. What is up with JB kicking everyone's ass in singles (almost). Nick is always tough, and played well.
Thanks Bill and phoenix for running a foos tourney.

Great Tourney at the Phoenix Tucson Challenge. It looks like Phoenix put the Hammer down and stopped the streak at 4. JB beat me for Singles Winners Bracket Final and Nick beat me for Losers Bracket Final so I took 3rd. JB had me 4-0 in the 3rd and I came back to tie and had a shot to win from goal but didn’t commit to the shot and JB came through.
In Doubles Nick was a great partner. His will to win and his five were incredible. We lost first round then won something like 6 in a row to reach the finals. Coco and Joe were solid and we couldn’t finish it out.

Hell yeah, well done, JB - that was some tight ass shit, yo! LOL I suppose in fairness, though, we should say congrats to Nick for beating a man possessed in the singles final!
Same to T.J./Joe! Now to bring it to World's...
Finally, Phoenix can rest with some respect. Man, Tucson is stingy with that damned trophy. I think we ought to take pictures of various Phoenix players rubbing the trophy over their naked bodies while we have the chance, and post them here. edited by BillyBoy on 6/21/2010

That explains why Phoenix was so eager to win the trophy back.
