Foosers - because I and at least three others will not be here this week, May 4, I am changing the BYP/Singles tournament format into a standard DYP for this Friday. We will then run the BYP/singles tournament the following week May 11th. If you have any questions or concerns let me know.

Events will start on time so please do your best to be on time - Scott 
Singles at 7 PM - Fees - Pros 10, Am/Exp 7, beginners 5, women free - 100% payback
BYP at 8:30 Fees - pros 12 - experts 10- amateurs 8 - beginners 5 - women free! I will have the ranking list at the tourney if you want to know before hand message back here and I will tell you what your rank is. No TJ you are not a woman.
New Knockout Event.......When a team is among the first six teams eliminated they will be entered in a single elimination tourney for 1.5 times their entry fee back.

Local Points and Ratings

These point ratings are based on the net foos ELO system. This is a system that rates you based on the results of each match you play. If you play a player rated much higher than you your points will increase greatly if you win. However if you play a lower ranked player your points will only go up a bit.
This list includes results from the old system that Dan and Bill maintained for years, and also contain all the Cactus Moon results as well as a few stingers results. Bill and I will now be putting all tournement results into the data base so should have very accurate local rankings. If you wish to have your name removed from the list I will do so, but that will not affect your rank.

If we can get 16 singles players and 12 teams in the NTP bring this week I add an additional 50 on top of the Bar add that will go towards singles.
Singles will not be seeded, and the top 4 doubles teams will be seeded.

OK - I have placed a 25 dollar bounty on the first team to beat either of our local Pro's Nick or Swan in tonight's event. Bounty is not in effect if Nick and Swan play each other. However if no one claims the bounty and they play each other in the final I will add an additional 20 dollars to the winners pot! I will also return the entry fee + 20 bucks for the highest placing beginner or amateur teams that did not get in the money. Spread the word and lets get a great turnout! |

Alright - Swan ended up getting the 20 dollar portion of the bounty. Also since Scott and Jeremy were the only beginner/amateur team they were gracious enough and only accepted their entry fee back. Keep checking back for more promotions designed to support our beginner and amateur players.

Hey Foosers - We are working on getting Miller and some other sponsors for Arizona Foosball so lets show them what Arizona Foosball is all about. This Friday July 6 we will be adding some special incentives to our usual events, Open Singles at 7:00 and NTP BYP at 8:30. Lets get a big turnout!
1 - I will be adding an additional 50 dollars to the pot on top of the bar add.
2 - Highest placing beginner in Open Singles will win 10 dollars (2 beginner minimum)
3 - Highest placing amateur in Open Singles will win 15 dollars (3 amateur minimum)
4 - Highest placing amateur/beginner team in the BYP will win 25 dollars. (3 beginner/am team minimum)

casey good catch. the netfoos system will not allow a person to play twice in the same tournament so the x man is the only way i could deal with it. i was going to take it off the list but i thought it would be interesting to check his ranking. |
