Foosers - If you plan on playing in the tourney this Friday if you could post it here and your partner as well. I want to get them entered in netfoos before the tournament so it runs smoothly. After talking to many players on Wednesday I think there will be at least 4 to 5 more teams, should be a good one.

Foosers - the 4 dollar add per player for the bar will be split up in the following manner.....
20% goes to highest placing beginner/amateur team
30% goes to singles pot
50% goes to doubles pot
Singles at 7 sharp (maybe 6:30 if player count is high, check back Wednesday)
Doubles at 8:30 sharp.
Players please be on time. The bring turnouts have been better lately so it takes longer to finish. If the turnout is large and you are not around when your match is called you may get forfeited.

Wow awesome tournament. Huge props to Mike Sames and Rich Loomis to help to keep things running smoothly at our biggest Friday tournament ever with $590 in prize money! We played 60 matches in just about 7 hours. I feel bad about not being able to finish singles but we are learning more all the time about how to run smooth tournaments. I want to give all the players props for also hanging around the tables and being available for when their matches are called. Special thanks to the Tucson crew of Teddy, Jen, Zeke, Doser, Jeff, Bill, and Pat B for coming up and making the trip. Until next time!

Handicapped BYP Friday Night at Cactus Moon

Hey foosers! It is the 5th Friday of the month so we are having our ultra rare handicapped BYP. This runs a bit differently than the way Bill runs it. I'll try to explain......
Teams are awarded chips based on their local rank. Pro's get 0 chips, Experts get 1 chip, Armatures 2 chips, Beginners 3 chips.
- Games are to 5 points.
- Teams get chips depending the ranks of the players. For example and Expert and a beginner will get 4 chips.
- Chips can be exchanged for points during the match.
- Chips can only be exchanged when at the beginning of a new ball.
- Chips can't be exchanged to win a game. For example we are up 4-3 and have two chips we can't use them in this situation, we must score the last goal.
A game situation may be the following.....
Two experts are playing two pros. They are in the third game and have not exchanged any chips. The pro's are up 1-0 when the experts slop in a point to tie it. Before the pros serve the ball the experts exchange their two chips and now have a 3-1 advantage in the match.
This will be a great event, find a partner and we will see you there.
