As with all points lists this is certain to cause a stir. Bill and I did the best we could and used the ELO system on net foos combined with the league points to come up with this list. As always there is going to be some players on the fence that we have to make a decision on. If you have any concerns about your rank please let Bill or I know and we can discuss it.

Foosers -
After careful consideration and in the interest of speeding up the event a bit I will be instituting a modified recall policy. As I am not going to sit there with a watch and announce three recalls we will enact the following.
Once a match has been called and one team reports to the table and the other team has not reported they can start a 5 minute clock. After 5 minutes they announce in the tournament room recall on "players of the offending team". They then have two minutes to report. If they do not report in the allotted time they forfeit the first game. The waiting team will then announce a 2nd recall, they then have an additional two minutes. If the offending team fails to report the match is forfeited.
As with all rules how they are enforced is as important as the rule its self. Be gracious for bathroom breaks, and for other legit reasons for delaying play. Smoking and getting a drink are not legit reasons for delaying a match.
Generally doubles events at Dukes start between 8:45 and 9:00 and finish between 12:30 and 1:30. They have gone late recently due to the large number of teams we have had, making enforcement of the rule even more important.
Also events will be starting promptly at 6:30 and 8:45. That means you show up and register at least 15 minutes prior to the event. A phone call saying I am on my way is not sufficient, especially for my repeat offenders, you know who you are, and so does everyone else.
Other things that will help speed up play.
- Stop playing and record your match results when you are done. Find Mike L, Billy, Brad, or Bryan and ask them to call the next match.
- Be mindful of the bracket and know when your match is about to be called
- Do not play out the balls at the end of a match, either leave them for the next match or quickly shoot them out.
- Keep tabs on your partner.
- Ask the other team permission if you need to delay a match for a minute or two.
- If you need a quick break ask the TD if another match can be called, however you must respect the TD's ruling if they can't accommodate your request.
As we continue to grow it is important to respect the rights of all players.

Foosers, I have had multiple requests to change the event tomorrow to a BYP instead of a DYP, as many people want to play with their partners in the upcoming warm-up. Please replay to this post with a simple bring or draw to indicate your preference. If we go with a bring it will be the same rules and payouts as last week.

Foosers -
For those of you who attended the event at Dukes this weekend I personally want to thank you for supporting Arizona Foosball. I publicly want to thank Rick W, Bill N, and Michael C for helping me run the event this weekend. They all worked tremendously hard and I could not have done it with out them, it was a great team effort. Big thanks to Bryan and Rissa for setting up the streaming video and to Mike S for providing feedback on it and the live brackets we had going as well.
Big thanks to all the out of town foosers who came this weekend, Joe C, Paul R, Mike K, Spirit M, John D, Dozer, and Banking Bill. Congrats to all the prize winners as well, we will have that list up shortly.
I know there are many others that pitched in as well, just a few names off of the top of my head, Rob P for setting up tables, Bob D for repairing tables, Ronnie, Ricky and a few others that helped with brackets and drawing up brackets, and to anyone I am forgetting, thank you!!!
