Topic: We're Back!

Foos is back at Boulders on Friday nights! We will be starting this Friday May 22nd at 7:30 with a shake and bake.

How this works is 1/2 the bracket is a BYP and the other half is a DYP. To play in the BYP it is $10 bucks and the DYP is $5 bucks.

The reason for the early start time is Boulders is closing at midnight. We will be separating the tables a bit more and asking that everyone respects others wishes with regards to social distancing.

If you have any questions be sure to contact Brad or Jesse. Hope to see you all there!

Topic: Boulders - New COVID Requirements

Foosers - Many of us would like to continue to play foos, so doing so in the current pandmic will require a level of cooperation and tolerance that is sometimes difficult for the foosball community to accept.

With that said some of these rules are Boulders requirements, some out ours.

Mask Rules -
1 - Mask is required to enter Boulders and move around the establishment.
2 - Masks are required at the table unless all 4 players agree they do not want to wear them during the match.

Keep it Clean -
1 - Wash your hands and/or use sanitizer before each match.

Social Distancing -
1 - Please respect everyone's space. No more than 4 people to a table, tables will be 8 feet apart.
2 - Only watch matches if social distancing can be practiced, therefore only a couple of people watching matches at a time.
3 - When not playing please sit on the other side of the room, do not crowd in the playing area.
4 - Please do not go in the bar area, and try to stay upstairs as much as possible

Check in and registration -
1 - Please preregister for the events on the Arizonafoosball website, we want to know who is coming and how many.
2 - We will be checking for your mask before you are allowed upstairs.

Miscellaneous -
1 - If you have been feeling sick at all, DON'T COME!!!!!
2 - If you have been exposed to COVID - DON'T COME!!!!
3 - If you have been in large crowds with many unmasked participants, rallys, protesters, concerts, etc.... DON'T COME!!!!
4 - Only foosers and wait staff will be allowed upstairs.

Leave your political stance and personal feelings about this at the door!! The pandemic is real and I will not do anything that needlessly endangers my family or friends. These rules are non-negotiable and are for the safety for all. So fare I do not know of any foosers that have and COVID and we need to keep our community COVID free. These are pretty simple steps to take to make sure we have the freedom and piece of mind to come together, hang out, and play the game we love.

I spent 5 hours in Boulders yesterday cleaning the tables. We have 4 T-3000 tables that are all in fantastic condition, it is the best set of tables we have had since the Cactus Moon days!! The tournament last Friday was fantastic and it was some of the best quality foos that I have seen in a long time.

Hey foosers we have two big events on Friday and Saturday night!

On Friday July 9 we are having an handicapped BYP at Boulders. It has a guaranteed 100 dollar add and can go up to 200 depending on participation.

Hello Everyone -

I wanted to take a few minutes to reach out to you all. The reason I got into promoting was to create a great foosball experience for the players in AZ. I love the game and the people and want to make sure we are doing everything possible to satisfy the customers, all of you. From my perspective Arizona foosball has taken a bit of a hit lately and I was hoping to get you all to take a short survey so we can gather your opinions and make the changes we need to in order to better support the foos community. You can take the survey online and it is not collecting names and is anonymous.

I am planning on using the data to make the Friday night event at boulders the best I can. If any other tournament directors would like to use the data to work on their events please do not hesitate to ask. I want this effort to be completely transparent. To everyone over the years that has supported and played foosball in Arizona over the years thank you! It has been a great place to play the game and make good friends. I just want to see it working like I know it can.

Topic: Foosball survey

Hey all -

Thanks so much for participating in our survey, the results were fascinating and led us to make some very specific changes to the Boulders event schedule. I have shared a link to a google document that is the first draft on the changes we are planning to make. We are anticipating starting these the first Friday in October. Ove the next two weeks we invite your comments and criticisms as we want to make changes that will light the foosball fire again in Arizona.

Topic: New Boulders Schedule

Hello Foosers -

As promised we are implementing our new changes to the schedule starting this Friday October 1st. I want to personally thank everyone for doing the survey and all the great suggestions. I really think we have put together a good schedule that is much more inclusive than our current line up. I have included a link to the document that details all of the changes to Boulders below....

With regards to singles we are no longer doing singles tournaments prior to events, but we will have singles ladder and cash matches prior to the event. Here are the rules for the singles ladder....

Singles will be half price @50cents per game, the rest will be covered by Badger promotions. Singles games will be cash games and foosball ladder challenge matches. We will create a list of singles players and rank them the best we can. To move up the ladder you must play against someone above your ranking and beat them. If you are challenged by someone below your rank you must defend against them or lose your spot on the ladder. The format is best of three games to five. The ladder rankings will be placed on the Arizonafoosball.com website and updated weekly. Ladder matches can happen anywhere at any time. Just make sure to send your results to [email protected] so I can adjust the rankings. If successful and popular we will look at a way to reward the players. I will make a separate post that details how this will work.

All the events on arizonafoosball.com have been updated to reflect the new changes. Look forward to seeing you all at Boulders on Friday's!!
