Brad - Awesome job with the videos. These are some of the best foosball videos I've seen on youtube. I'll have to see your camera set-up. One thing that stands out are the number of time infractions during a match, mostly the ones for the three bar possessions and for the time-outs. Excellent job though! - Bob D. |

Saw one of the best match-ups I've seen in a Long time last night... Pat Hutson and Johnny Valles Vs. Don Swan and Billy Nolan. Don and Billy needed to double dip Pat and Virus to win the tourney. First match went down to meat ball and Don and Billy squeaked it out for the win. Intensity on both sides was off the charts, could have been playing for a $5,000 purse. Mike Saimes was the designated official, calling numerous reset, possession times, and uncalled time-out infractions. ( Someone doesn't know that walking away from the table during a match constitutes a time-out. Great job Mike!
Second match, a back and forth rally, several times to win by both teams, with some Killer shots from goalie on both sides. Match also went to meat ball, with Pat and Virus pulling off the win....Two tables sitting empty because every fooser in the house was watching the match...

I had this brought to my attention a few days ago and began wondering about it myself. Do all players earn Both the place points for position and bonus points for ranking in every tournament they play in? If so, a beginner should earn a minimum of 4 points for every tournament played unless there are less than 7 places. 3 for being a beginner and 1 for 7th place or worse. Just curious, doubt that it affects anyone's tour ranking. |

Brad - One thing that might help with throwing matches ( which would only happen if there is an X man ) would be to change how the X man partner is chosen. Right now, it's usually the first team out that supplies the partner, either by a coin flip or by mutual agreement between the players. Change it so that you can only play with an X man once a month, or season, or find a way to have a larger pool of players to choose from that just the first team out. You don't want to reward a team player by them being the first team eliminated. Just my two cents worth and I expect some change back... |

Another option would be to implement a process where there is never an X man. Either through the use of a volunteer willing to set out the tourney to make the number of players work out to an even number or making the last person to register / pay sit out. Not an optimal solution but one that would eliminate the X man issue. |

Or, allow the X man full points for whatever place he / she accrues in the tourney but the first team out accrues that many points period. Regardless of how they place with the X man. Damn, I'd be screwed if this had been implemented earlier.....lol Same thing Joe said earlier in this thread... |

Bryan and I were nervous for good reason. Rissa and Age kicked everyone's asses, including ours the first match we played them. Second match went three games and we barely squeaked out the win...Great playing by the ladies....way fun matches.... |
