LOL Hey Bill, just found out a couple days ago that I may be able to attend. I like the DYP because if I suck, then I don't feel so bad for my partner, being that we were paired randomly. But more importantly, not everyone has a partner and there are going to be people who don't go because of this. Why would we not include a simple DYP so everyone can participate?

2/14/2013 Topic: new to the site fooser4fun	Check the local tournaments... Fridays at Cactus Moon bar (about 20 people), Saturdays at Stingers bar (about 15 ppl), Wednesdays at Main Street Billiards until leagues start (about 15 ppl), and Sundays at the Loft bar (about 8 ppl). There's usually pick up games before and after the tourneys as well. All skill levels are welcome, just get there before they start to sign up. Thats about it. Check the tournaments page on this site. Also, consider joining the foosball league. It's a great way to get better and they (Bill Nolan) will set you up with partners if you don't have any.

Cactus Moon and Stingers usually have good turn outs though and are usually worth the drive.

7/21/2013 Topic: CM Singles and Handicapped BYP 7/19/13 fooser4fun	No Split, it is a tournament after all. Also, maybe you should have a vote on tourney format. I miss the normal DYPs we used to have. All the silly handicapped roto hi/lo chip race formats are lame. And it hasn't brought in new players, we have fewer beginners showing up now than we did with the old DYPs.

At the very least, roto is a format that I think is pretty cool and lets other players besides the dominant ones get practice on front and back. I haven't been to many of the tournaments, but I will more in the future, and would like to see more roto and hi/lo events. What's stopping you from playing up front in the dyp/byp tournaments? Just find someone who plays worse than you, then you will be the dominant player on the team.

8/28/2013 Topic: Alt tournament suggestions fooser4fun	I think it'd be awesome to have a high payout event, maybe like a hundred dollar entry dyp or something! It'd have to be at one of the major events though, like Vegas warmup, to draw people. I think it'd get alot of attention and be good publicity our local tournament. Also like the idea of the extra table for pick up games. It sucks sitting around waiting for your match/event to begin. Keep the slop though, I'll learn to block it eventually! edited by fooser4fun on 8/28/2013
