10/30/2008 Topic: New League(s)! BillyBoy Administrator	Where is all the talk about the leagues? The immediate plan is to get a "draw-style" league going, that works pretty much the same way as the regular league, except that the players "draw" for teams each Tuesday/Wednesday. This league would also have individual awards only. I will try to get that pieced together by this coming week, if possible. Thereafter, we will launch another team-oriented league. One of the main considerations at the moment is the possibility of 4-player teams this time around. Anyhow, let's get some chatter going on who's in, who's out, what ideas you guys like or want to see, etc.! I know that a lot of you read these forums and do not post. Do not be afraid! Everyone's opinion is important, so out with it!!
10/31/2008 Topic: Local Points BillyBoy Administrator	It has absolutely nothing to do with "not wanting to support the competition". First, you have to recognize that the idea of "competition" in an arena where there is no business and no money is plain silly. The reason is exactly what I said it was. "I'm just busy with other stuff." I'm not sure how many other ways I can say the same thing. If you want, you can sit with me some day, and when the day is over, you can then tell me which 1/2 hour I should have used differently. LOL.
11/3/2008 Topic: Added full-fledged membership & profiles support BillyBoy Administrator	I have overhauled the membership/personalization system, implementing a much more dynamic system that runs site-wide (instead of only in the forums), and will allow us to do some cool stuff in the future. Unfortunately, I have to slightly inconvenience the current members by asking them to once again register their accounts for the new databases. (I could have done some of it myself, but I would nonetheless need you to re-enter passwords and a couple of little items, so it makes more sense to just ask you to take a second to update it yourselves.) It is very easy - just click on the "Register" link at the top right of any screen and answer just a couple questions. If you retain the same username, you will automatically keep your old forum settings (avatar, etc.). Or you can pick another name and just reconfigure all of it if you choose. 11/3/2008 Topic: Links BillyBoy Administrator	Zeke - I resolved this with the new personalization system. Once you are logged in, click "Edit Profile" (top right). You can then toggle "Flash Navigation" on and off. It will remember these settings for you in the future.

11/13/2008 Topic: Added "Comment Interface" BillyBoy Administrator	Implemented a portable control that can be used to log comments by registered users for any type of object. You can see this on the front page for the DYP winners, and in the "Photo Gallery". Since the control interfaces the object itself, it recalls the relevant data any time the object is presented. (So, e.g., the DYP winners photos reside in the photo gallery, where they can be viewed at any time, along with all user remarks.) Also, overhauled the Photo Gallery.

11/14/2008 Topic: The T.J. issue BillyBoy Administrator	I put up the full results of every singles and doubles tournament in Phoenix, with complete statistics, for two years running. Still, we get 8 people showing up on Saturday, and people with the balls to complain about this, that, or the other. I know that you two (Zeke and Casey) are kidding around, but do not underestimate my seriousness when I say that every single "complainer" out there can kiss my entire ass with their tongue out. Really. If you don't believe me, try showing up and running your mouth. See how well it goes over.

I am sorry that you just happen to be in the thread where I say this, because it isn't directed at you or Casey at all - you guys have been very cool, appreciative, etc. Some of the few that actually give a shit.

For some reason, I can only think of about 2 or 3 that were about 10 minutes over. Must be me. And I think their phone call went something like this: "Hey, Dan, we're running a few minutes behind. Not sure if we'll be able to make singles or not. We can? Great! See you soon." Also, I would like to use this opportunity to say that next Phoenix-Tucson event, in Phoenix, those driving the 2 hours from Tucson who find themselves 5-10 minutes behind will be locked out of the tournament. As per your implication. I also find it odd to hear this when much of Tucson gave us the same call last time. I thought nothing of it, really, to tell the truth.
