I am usually not a person that complains about much.. All I ask for if a great match a good game and respect.. For the last few months I have noticed some things that disturb me about the tournaments being played.. 1st not all of the results get posted and there are players with alot less skill placing that should be recognized not only for thier play but for thier accomplishments.. 2nd... after drawing up the tournament why isnt the 1st,2nd 3rd,4th money winning posted before the first match is played? I would love to hear everyone elses complaints.. is you have a direct comment send it to mu in box

I only post the results when I win so I can brag a little, but I see your point...it should be more organized than that. Daniel does put the results up on Netfoos. Most the handicap singloes results aren't posted because I don't go to those and I am usually the one that posts the results.
As far as the money, I was so far out of the money...
Posting the money early is usually done to get it out of the way, but it started being done later when the TD had to wait to see how much the bar chips in. Now Dan and Jeremy kick some money in, but they don't always know how much the other is putting into the pot to make the money breakdown. I think Jeremy came in last night sometime, did he play? Just my theory, Daniel and Jeremy could give the exact reason. For the record I like to know early so I can say, hey I'm playing for $20 the next match, helps me get competitive.
It can lead to suspicions, although having played down there almost every weekend for the last 2 years I can say that it seemed fair.
What happened to the picture of Chris and Jen Hicks winning last week? I thought my pic was coming down, I know I am tired of it being up.

Oh yeah Jeremy played, I was just waking up earlier...He and Sean beat Jeff and I. He shot something like 90% and Sean bricked me, kindof sucked for me

Thanks for the reply John.. I appreciate everything that Daniel and Jeremy do for our foos scene and they are 2 of the greatest guys you could ever meet.. To be honest I dont think Dan and Jeremy should kick in anything from thier own pocket.. We are under appreciated for the business we give the bar and I guess Im venting more because I dislike the establishment more than anything else. We spend enough in the bar for them to at least kick in a little.. You hit it right on the head when you said you would like to know what you are playing for. I too would like to know what I stand to gain before things start. I need that extra push sometimes.. Again, just for the record I have nothing but respect for Daniel and Jeremy and we would be lucky to have more guys like them around us..
Also I have the picture of Chris and Jenn from the high low but I am not sure how to get it to you.

I think it's very reasonable to ask that the payouts be figured out up front when the bracket is drawn up. So Dan, if you read this I support Teddy and John with their request to figure out the payouts ahead of time

You can't always figure the payout when you are drawing up the bracket, especially when the bar is kicking in cash and sometimes there are late additions if there is room in the bracket. I don't usually get the bar kick-in until after the draw has started and I actually have the time to figure out the payout- the TD is just too busy trying to collect cash, draw up players, fill in the brackets and start calling matches ASAP to worry about the payouts. This has been my experience.
If you want to know the payouts before drawing up the brackets, then I suggest any one of you to run some DYPs and see if you can do better.
Besides- I hardly think that the payouts matter to most foosers- isn't it more about winning and bragging rights than actually collecting cash?
Just my 2 cents. edited by azrocket on 2/23/2010

I'm sure it's not that hard to figure out the payouts by the first round of matches. So it doesn't have to be exactly when the bracket is drawn up but fairly soon after.

No it isn't, if people aren't distracting you I usually have the payouts done before the 2nd round of matches.
