I personally want to thank everyone who helped out and made this event possible. Rick W for taking over at Stingers when I had to go, Billy for recruiting players and advertising the event on the website. Mike L and Mike S for helping with the brackets and calling matches at Dukes.
Huge thanks to our three out of town teams that came. Craig and John from Las Vegas, Zeke and Dozer from Tucson, and Cory and Eric from El Paso, and a big thanks to all the local players who came out and supported the event by participating.
But the biggest thanks of all goes to Ash who put significant cash to the event that allowed us to pay out $1745 in prizes.
The event was a lot of fun for me and it seemed that everyone had a great time. Thanks again for supporting Arizona Foosball.

King of the Ring Finals this Friday @ Dukes

Will be competing for all the marbles this Friday @ Dukes in the King of the Ring finals! Total Prize 206 Dollars 75% to 1st and 25 % to 2nd. Starts at 6:30 Sharp If you are late you will start forfeiting matches.
Here is a recap of the rules...
1 - Points will work exactly the same as they do for the Phoneix Tour where participation will count as well as your result.
2 - At the end of the 15 weeks the top 6 players will be invited to a playoff for all the marbles.
3 - The playoff will start as a handicapped round robin single game. Pros must score 8, Experts 7, Amateurs 6, Beginners 5
4 - After the round robin the top two will square off in the finals, (any ties after the round robin will be determined by head to head match ups) same handicap rules. However the finals are goalies delight, meaning if you score from the pits you get the ball in the pits to start the next point
5 - Winner gets 75% of the purse, 2nd gets 25%.

Foosers - KOR finals will be moved to next week as another player could not make it tonight. Therefore we will be having singles as normal with a twist. It will be goalies delight meaning that if you score from the pits you get the ball back in the pits. Starts at 630 sharp, see you all there.

Former host of the Foosball Master Tour Phil Schlaefer will be making an appearance at Dukes this Friday. With him, Randy Stark, Evan Stachelek, and Nick Bourdous making regular appearances it is a great opportunity to play against some pro foosers. Grab a partner and come on down. Hello Foosers -
I have changed the tournaments at Dukes a bit. We will now alternate between a DYP and a BYP each week instead of a BYP each week. The DYP action starts this Friday with a Hi/Lo A-B DYP. 8 bucks all entries. The coming events on the website has been updated to show the changes.

Ricky - The bring, in my opinion was starting to get a bit stale. Same people winning each week so I wanted to give the opportunity to shake up the teams a bit. We have had many players support the event that never get in the money. Plus a little change now and then is not a bad thing. Maybe even Mr. Chunderful will show up every once in a while.

Well said Billy - Here is my response.....
Singles will be going to every other week, we will do it the nights we have the DYP's...
Chris - AB Hi/Lo is hardly nuttyness. I think the turnout of 10 teams last week proves that. You want nuttyness OK here it is.
At the request of several foosers the tournament on April 29th will be a BYP 1 ball rollerball. Since it is a rare 5th Friday in the month thought it would be a nice change. Prepare for something crazy each 5th Friday just to keep you on your toes. That will the the max of my nuttyness.
