I agree with Jesse, before I even realized the "jukebox idiot" was getting in my face, Jesse and everyone else was surrounding him daring him to do something. He thought that Nick B and I wanted to fight him and his friend. Anyway if I didn't get to thank the people that jumped in, personally, I'm saying thanks now. It was truly a sight to behold. I don't think even my closest friends from college have been up in arms that quickly to get my back. Nick B, Don, Jesse, The Pesce Brothers, Mark Proctor, Billy, and Johnny V. to name a few that jumped in. Thanks guys!

Just wanted to reach out and thank the entire group at Stingers last night for the quick backing of one of our own last night. It was silly, STUPID jukebox idiot, but the reaction of our foos community was priceless. I was quick to interpose myself, but I was even surprised at the immediate response from all ya all.
And, simply to clarify, Bill and I have been concerned about the placement of the jukebox prior to last nights event. We will address it (again), and hope to have the issue resolved quickly so as to prevent any stupidity from occurring in the future. Still, it was marvelous to see everyone acting as one.
Thanks!

Ask for advice

Hey Zeke,
At the AZ state tourney this weekend I saw (and got schooled by) 3 (goalie) to 5 bar passing, in one on one games. Is that just because I'm a crappy beginner or because its a real passing series from the back... I've seen a lot of 2 to 5 bar stuff that you've posted and that others have posted. Just wanted to hear your take on it to see if its anything worth practicing.
Additionally, any advice you can provide on the mental aspects of a consistent and fast pullshot would be greeeeattttlly appreciated... your youtube on the pullshot was very good because it let me see the grip, setup, and execution but I feel like there could be a follow up on it or an advanced video that goes over the ways to drill or practice (the right way like you mentioned) to build speed and consistency.
thanks! |

Arizona players at HOF that I don't know

They are all strong players from Tucson.
Pat, I think is an expert.
Michael Mendoza aka "Dozer", is an amateur I think.
Kent Stuart, is a Beginner that played in London a bit but now is grad student at U of A. He beat me 10-0, in beginners singles and placed 2nd overall, losing to the prodigal, Jeff Ige jr. who is like 12 years old and shoots a rollover from his elbow.

Just got back last night from my first HOF. To anyone that hasn't done it, you definitely need to go next year. So much fun to see everyone that you watch on YouTube live and in person, interact with them, and shake their hands.
Thanks to everyone that makes foosin' in AZ possible, to Zeke for all of his videos, and everyone who has ever stayed after a tourney or league match to help me learn something new. Because of you guys, if I retired from foosin' today, I could say I took down an exhausted, tired, and unlucky Ryan Moore in FSO: 5-3, 2-5, 5-4. |

Did anyone accidentally grab my phone last night at stingers? If so, please email me at [email protected].
It's an HTC Rezound, black, verizon phone, and has a picture of my wife in a hoodie and snorkle goggles as the background image.
I hope someone grabbed it! |

I really like the SF format. The no slop format actually seems to be putting more weight on the slop as you can potentially win a "jackpot" of slop to win a game. |

It would also be cool to maybe have an extra table moved in just to play pick up games, and to learn things on and practice. Winners stay losers pay (quarters) type of thing. |

I think Dozer and I are around the same skill level though Dozer plays better in the nets than I do. For what it's worth, not that it will really make a difference, but I tend to agree with Zeke in making a promaster division and thinning out the expert list and am list. Looking at the list, I do not personally see a lot of beginners that would actually show up. It is unavoidable to have Hi-Lo's within in each classification, that just happens naturally/instinctually. However, the beginner Hi-lo is really the difference between active players and non active players. I don't think that division will have a good turn out. You could move some low am's down to beginner and some low exps to am and take a few of the aforementioned the high exps to Pros. Nick and Swan could still do free entry as Pro Masters. In regards to Dozer... I actually think he and I are very close in skill. Wherever you place me, I think he should go. So there should be a "remedial" or "special division" just for he and I, where no matter what happens we get a ribbon and a pack of gummy bears. |

I got a couple of T3000 coin up tables with light included. I'll give you a great price $900. Great condition and the light itself costs about $150 on its own. So it's a pretty good bargain.

I'll start the rank bitching and moaning. Chris, Steve, Mike L, and Bork all beat me regularly, along with ALL of the listed Pros except for Brad Chamberlain ;p ... take that for what you will. Additionally, League rating is kind of an unfair way to measure local tournament Pros. I've been playing league for about 3 years now and Dan Held is the only one on that list that played a full season. My point being if any of the listed pros played league while I played, I certainly wouldn't be a 7.0. |
