BillyBoy Administrator	Hey Curt - Check out the button on the left menu 'Places to Play'; that will show you everything including maps, etc. Currently the Friday night tournament at Cactus Moon is popular. Monday at Main St. is hit or miss right now. Both Duke's and Chasers in Scottsdale have good tables for pickup games, but no regular events. We've had a good Saturday night tournament for the last few years on 40th St., but that location just closed last month. We're working on getting some more stuff going in the near future... 6/16/2011 Topic: League Official Start Date June 28/29! BillyBoy Administrator	The new version of the Arizona Foosball League officially launches on June 28 & 29. Teams are displayed on the sign-up sheet on the "Leagues" page. All players will soon receive an update with team & conference information, schedule, etc. We have a lot of new stuff in store for you this time around, so dust off thefoosball gloves and buckle in for the best AZ foosball league yet! 6/27/2011 Topic: New Location on West Side! BillyBoy Administrator	Stinger's Sports Bar 10040 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, Arizona (623) 937-9645 Two AZ Foosball T-2000 Tornado tables w/lights. This is a popular, medium to large sized bar on the SW corner of 43rd Ave. & Peoria, with good drink prices and every kind of game and league. The owner (Dale) is very supportive and quite successful at promoting his bar and events. 8/3/2011 Topic: New Tournament at Stingers! BillyBoy Administrator	AZ Foosball now has a Saturday tournament again on the west side of town. Stinger's Sports Bar (10040 N. 43rd Av.) is a medium sized bar with an owner who is very happy to have us there for leagues & tourneys, and will help promote us as well. He is adding money to the prize fund, as well as a free drink & meal for the tournament director (btw, YOU can be a AZ Foosball tourney director, too - just give me a call if you're interested!). As you may know, we've had the new location for a few weeks (it's already hosting leagues), but we've held off organizing a tournament until we hammered out the details, schedule, etc. But everything is set to go now, and we're ready to start this Saturday, August 6 at 8pm! We've got some new stuff lined up, including FREE PLAY for the hour before the tournament! You can check out other details on the "tournaments" page... The west side location should be a nice complement to the East side Friday tournaments. I look forward to seeing Arizona Foosball grow bigger and better each year. 8/25/2011 Topic: Spinning the Rod BillyBoy Administrator	The rules say "If a ball is advanced by an illegal spin the opposing team will have the option of continuing play from the current position or to serve the ball. " Without any further explanation one must assume this simply means "wherever the ball is" and does not imply that a player can physically pick it up or stop the ball "wherever it is" (bouncing, rolling, etc.) and play it from THERE. That is, the opposing team can either "play on", or stop play and take it on his/her five. The only thing that seems in question here (but doesn't seem to apply to your situation last night) is how long the opposing team has to claim the ball on their five. Obviously, if they make a play on it, it is obvious; but what if they let it roll around and let the other team swing at it? Zeke's explanation at the end of that thread makes sense, as well. <em>edited by BillyBoy on 8/25/2011</em>
