Thanks for Help!
adminAdministrator
|
Just wanted to give a special thanks to the following persons who helped at last weekend's Tucson/Phoenix event:
Brad Chamberlain A special thanks to Brad. He not only helped out tremendously with setup and transporting the two extra tables (to and fro), but approached me to offer assistance. There are very few people with the heart and integrity he has.
Mike Sames As usual, thanks to Mike for the help in keeping these things running so smoothly. When Mike leaves in a month or so, you guys will miss him (trust me). LOL
Cowboy Helped haul tables into Clicks.
Me Mkay?

Ronnie Brown Honorary Event this FRIDAY
adminAdministrator
|
"Downtown" Ronnie Brown will be in town this Friday and is looking forward to seeing a lot of the old school Phoenix players.
We have decided to have a special honorary event on Friday night at Clicks Billiards to celebrate this rare Phoenix appearance of one of the all time greats! As a special bonus, I will buy a drink for any player(s) who does Ronnie the honor of defeating him in a tournament match!
So come out and join in all the yapping and carrying on!
Everything starts at 8:00. So don't miss this fun time, and remember to call any old-schoolers you know and get them out as well!
Bill N. AZ Foosball
P.S. The event will be a DYP/BYP combination. Players drawing a partner pay $7 entry, those bringing a partner pay $15. edited by admin on 9/22/2010 |

New Tournament at Stingers!
adminAdministrator
|
AZ Foosball now has a Saturday tournament again on the west side of town.
Stinger's Sports Bar (10040 N. 43rd Av.) is a medium sized bar with an owner who is very happy to have us there for leagues & tourneys, and will help promote us as well. He is adding money to the prize fund, as well as a free drink & meal for the tournament director (btw, YOU can be a AZ Foosball tourney director, too - just give me a call if you're interested!).
As you may know, we've had the new location for a few weeks (it's already hosting leagues), but we've held off organizing a tournament until we hammered out the details, schedule, etc. But everything is set to go now, and we're ready to start this Saturday, August 6 at 8pm! We've got some new stuff lined up, including FREE PLAY for the hour before the tournament! You can check out other details on the "tournaments" page...
The west side location should be a nice complement to the East side Friday tournaments. I look forward to seeing Arizona Foosball grow bigger and better each year.
Hope to see you there this weekend!

Stingers Tournament Schedule
adminAdministrator
|
We've set the initial calendar for the tournaments at Stinger's. The tournament directors may revise it occasionally, but you can always see the current schedule/calendar for all AZ Foosball Events by visiting the "Tournaments" section.
NOTE THAT TONIGHT'S DEBUT EVENT IS A "ROTO DOUBLES DRAW-YOUR-PARTNER"!
This tournament works exactly like a DYP, except that each game is played as Roto-Doubles (where players switch positions when their team scores a goal).
1st Sat. of month: Roto-Doubles DYP (teams drawn at random, games played in Roto-Doubles fashion)
2nd Sat. of month: Draw-Your-Partner
3rd Sat. of month: Pick-Your-Partner (players drawn at random, player who is drawn may pick partner from remaining players)
4th Sat. of month: Hi-Low Draw (players grouped into high & low tiers, players matched at random from each tier)
5th Sat. of month: Bring-or-Draw (players can bring their own partner and pay higher entry fee, or draw their partner from the pool of players) edited by admin on 8/6/2011 |
