Doubles and DYP

Super
Doubles is
a Bring-Your-Partner event with 4 divisions - Beginner, Amateur, Expert, and
Pro. The event will have a qualifying round for each division, and the winner
of each division which face off in a handicapped grand finale to decide the
overall Super Doubles champion.
A
points committee will be put together and use both league handicaps and local
points to determine your rating for this event. Ratings will be posted in
ArizonaFoosball.com 'forums' section by July 1.
Super
DYP will
be a double-elimination tournament featuring special added prize money. It
will be played on August 2 during the finals of Super Doubles.
Payouts
- $1500+

Doubles: $600 - $1000, with up to $300 added by sponsors,
depending upon total turnout.

Super DYP – 100%
of entry fees PLUS $250 - $500 added by sponsors, depending upon
total turnout.

depending on player level).

Qualifying Rules
·
2/3 –
Double elimination in qualifying rounds, no handicap.
·
Winning
team in each division qualifies for Super Doubles Finals
·
Players are
limited to one entry in the SD finals on a "first won, first served"
basis. (Players who have already gained entry to the SD final may place no
higher than 2nd in ensuing qualifying rounds).
·
If turnout for a qualifying event
is unexpectedly large and tournament times are insufficient to finish events, director may schedule late
round matches to be played before the finals on Aug. 2 in order to avoid abbreviated match formats.

Final Rules
The
Super Doubles Final consists of three matches total between the winning teams
of each division.

– Handicapped system team must score points in parenthesis to win a game.
