Summer League Strategy
The time is here once again. The Summer Leagues is happening and signups are open and waiting. The list of players is hungry for names! Here is the strategy: do we want the 3-spot: 3 high ranked players to tear through the others, or 3 low ranked players that play the odds with their handicap. Both strategies have lead to team championships. Or do we want the 2-1 spot: two high-ranked teammates and one low ranker, winning single events and getting the point-spots for the team events, or the two low-ranked teammates with a high-ranker that will be sneaky and successful. Each of these strategies are sound and pragmatic. When we elect a captain, do they have the strategy to team us up for the best winning options? And oh my, in all my excitement I needed to be reminded that we can now also play with 4 teammates! 4-player team strategies, anyone?! Universally the leagues are meant for the intangibles: Having fun, building camaraderie, advancing foosball knowledge, getting practice. The fun is, of course, paramount. Let's go!!
