Well Brad, it's not entirely true about no one wearing the league shirts. I wear my league shirt. As for the league fees, hey it's like everything else in this world "YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY!!!"
With the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow being the prize money, I feel it makes you want to play harder to win. I can understand that for the new players in the league, it may be a bit harder for them to reach that pot of gold, but it is a great incentive to ask lots of questions, and ask the vetern players for tips, hints, and cheats. I can speak for myself that when any of the new players ask me for help or ask how I learned something I am always showing them whatever I can. Secondly, it comes down to flat out dedication to practicing. The only way to get better at anything in this world is to put in the time, energy, effort, and have the dedication to keep at it when the going gets tough. |

Well Corey, if you're looking for competition you should come to the Phoenix DYP. There's no competition in Tuscon, just alot of limp wrists, blowing dirt, and mud. LOL. |

Actually what lodi is saying is that he witnessed people on other teams sandbagging his first season playing in the league. That once they knew they couldn't win they would deliberately start chucking the last games.
And I would like to thank those people that think my game is good enough that I can pick and choose what games I will win and which ones I will loose.
As for being good at foosball or any other sport, I always tell everyone that I play "it doesn't matter if you're the best player in the world or the worst player in the world anything can happen." I have been whooped by people that
have only been playing for a few months and beat pretty soundly people that have been playing longer than I have been alive or at least achieved a higher ranking.
And Tony if I remember correctly the last few meetings on the table we have had you have beaten me.

Only if someone is going to do it to me. I don't like being an ass, but when someone knows they have lost and decide to start chucking that doesn't sit well with me. As for this season I am not here to crush everyone every game, I spend time on Wednesdays showing the new people to the league different things to help improve their games. Kinda of what I did with you guys. I come to play and shoot the crazy shots, like the slingshot, pushkick, the pullkick, the tic-tac it makes it more fun. Also like I said in a previos post, if peeps think my game is good enough for me to randomly pick and choose what games I will win and what I lose, thank you all for the compliment.
Anyways games in general are just a wee bit random, just ask Billy. |

Hey Disasta, at Click's before 9 pm you can play, but after 9 you gotta go. This way you can play some people that have game and see what you can work on at home then come and try out what you're practicing. Hope to see you there. |

That would be great to get two more foosers here in Phoenix. The infusion of new blood is always nice, and always good to see different styles of game. Congratulations on having a baby, we hope if you decide to move to Arizona , come to Phoenix, it's a much nicer place.

Well Bridgette, the sad thing about what you have just pointed out is that it does happen. The good thing is that not everyone shares that same view or perspective. There are some of us that look at in a good way, and that way is
an excitement to help the new people to get better. So please try not to lump all of us in that one category, because we all don't share that same belief. By the way thank you both for coming out and playing it was fun. |
