Lets hear it about the proposed changes...here is what I think:
1) Total time to play matches: 2 hours, 1 day a week...give me a break, and find me any other sport/ league (ie. softball, pool...) that doesn't take at least that much time out
of your "busy" schedule
2) Match dynamics: Basically if both teams played well enough to leave it up to "luck" or "slop" as a decider...then so be it...the Universe is random, so why not suck it up and
obey the randomness, for if you were THAT good the rollerball game would be of no concern.
3) Points round/ game: Leave this to Bill...you do not run the leauge, he does.
4) Player ratings/ handicap: Well, maybe you whiners ought to just step up your "phenonminal", "god-like" game and not worry about handicaps and how your great performance affects your score...and the "sandbagging" issue is a non-event; there is no more of an "art" to sandbagging than there is to douching your colon (and in fact the sandbaggers are more comparable to the dirty douche water than even the colon itself).
Overall analysis: It's a bar-room sport with an AWESOME league, if you're a "pro" then go make/pay some money elsewhere...otherwise let your BALLS DROP for
once and QUIT FUCKING BITCHING. The point is that if you want to play, then play...if you want to have your rules, then start you own (inferior) league, and if you want to bitch...well Abbey at the Arizona Republic has a section for that.

I really appreciate the support and comments, etc. But in all fairness, there really hasn't been a whole lot of bitching. I just sent out that mail so people could see some of the ideas behind why things are the way they are, and if they could think of things that might be worth trying, etc. I think most people are pretty happy with the league overall, and so am I. But that doesn't mean we cannot tweak it to try and make it better or even just try some new stuff.
Also, sometimes I just have too much caffeine and type too much.
Thanks for the concern and comments, though. Space Rangers rule!
