Fun tourney.......

Chris and I lost to swanny out of the gate.

From there on I think every match went to three games except for one and we were down 3 - 0 or 4 - 1 in the third game of each one and kept coming back.

Chris was awesome at clutch time every time. Fun to be out again.

Foosers -

I am hosting a Poker Tournament and a Foos Tourney this Friday at the Casa De Chambie. I have between 10 - 12 committed right now. I am capping the poker tourney at 18.
Poker will start at 7 PM - 20 dollar buy-in
DYP/BYP will start at 9 PM - 5 dollar entry for DYP - 10 dollar for BYP - 2 t-3000 coin ops with lights

Hello Foosers -

Since many of the foosers are coming to my place Friday for the Poker/Foos extravaganza the tourney at the Moon will just be a Roto Hi/Lo DYP. Mike Lawrence will be running it. It will have the usual start time of 8:30. If you are interested in coming to the event at the Casa De Chambie it is posted under the coming events section of the forum.

Here is the basic info......

Party starts at 6 PM - Foos pickup games
Poker at 7 PM - Holdem No Limit 20 dollar buy-in
DYP/BYP at 8:30 or 9 - 5 to enter the draw 10 if you bring your partner - 100% payback

Bring your own drinks and finger foods. I will have meatballs and chicken.

The moon is now back to four tables. Mike will be running the tournament tonite and it will be a DYP starting @ 830. make sure you are getting your partners for super doubles in two weeks, it should be a great event.

Hey Zeke g reat points. however when Bill I have Mike discussed it we figured there would be more issues moving guys like sulky Sherman myself Billy excetera to pros and it would cause more problems Than It solves for this event. as far as dozer goes he certainly fit the expert category for this event. I have played both of those guys enough to feel comfortable with ranking dozer as an expert in banking bill as an amateur however if they play together they will have to be an experts. we know our system is far from perfect but in the interest of this event it was the best we can do for now. Hopefully in future events more people will provide feedback like you did and we can come up with better systems to make sure everyone is fairly ranked.

Foosers -

This Friday on Halloween we are having a Handicapped BYP at the Moon. If you show up in a costume I will enter you in a drawing to get a free entry. However since it is Halloween I am curious as to how many teams will be showing up. If you plan on coming please either write back here or text me at 928-304-3351 so I can get a head count.

On another note the Moon is now under new management as Grham Corp. has taken over. Bill and I have met with the director of operations. For the next few weeks as the retrain the staff and retool their business plan they will not be kicking in any money. Therefore I will put the tables on free play and charge a table fee. 50% of that fee will go into the tournament prize structure. Once they reopen in early November we will sit down with management and renegotiate our contract. In the mean time drink specials will remain as they are.

They are taking a close look at how many players show up and what we do when we are there so please continue to support tournaments at the Moon by showing up and having a good time. Thanks again for supporting Arizona Foosball.
