Changes for June!

Going to be changing things up for June. Dukes will be having various forms of BYP events. Stinger's will also be having it's fair share of BYP events, though one shall be DYP event to break it up a tiny bit. The 5th Friday and Saturday events, that I can not list as of yet, will both be shit talk events of some sort involving BYP's as well. Both venues will now institute the $2.00 off for all League players (YO! Be prepared with your entry fee, as I am not a bank!).
Of special significance, the 2nd Annual Rick Marmelstein event will be held at Stinger's on June 9th. So, please make an effort to attend the event. We are trying to work out an arrangement with the owner to allow us to bring food. Plus, there will be "special" events prior to the main tournament available. More info to come in relation to this event.
Please read the coming events section as June is meant to encourage the community to reach out a bit and expand. Duke's will be featuring one odd rule...if you win with a partner, you can NOT play with that partner again for the rest of the month! So, keep it in mind and build your Foos network! In addition, some of the events have limitations designed to encourage this concept. For example, Duke's will be starting with a No 2 pro BYP, and later Stinger's will feature a No 2 Expert and above format. Anyways, it is up and ready for your perusal.

Rules for games that don't exist. I don't see how anybody could find that confusing 
We used to play it under the Vifa League system...and that game mode may make a return at some point. Who knows? |

Truly great tournament due to everyone working at making things run smooth! We nailed that tourney considering there were so many teams and we were done at 1:15 with 3 tables! Round of applause to everyone! A special thanks to Holly for the food, and to everyone that helped to make the 2nd Annual Rick Marmelstein event a success. I hope everyone took a moment to truly appreciate the event for Rick, and for any of those that we have come into contact with and lost over the years in our misfit family of foosers. |

Just so everyone knows, the shirts that Nick has been wearing of late are actually made by his significant (and better!) half! Soon we will begin to start utilizing the "Store" link in order to provide foos related accessories and to provide access to such amazing work such as this! Nick's wife truly has the ability to make you any shirt you design in a highly professional manner. Best part is, you can make Nick your delivery boy! 30.00 per shirt is the starting price as they provide the shirt and skills! Obviously, "odd" arrangements can be considered, but I leave that to ya all to work out with Nick.
In addition, ArizonaFoosball will soon be open to any other sort of service/skill type of service and is very open to providing the platform for anyone to attempt to monetize their idea in an effort to help us all as a community. I have made some changes now viewable via the Coming Events link. The main difference being that I am moving the tournament time for Stingers from 7:30 to 8:30.
The primary reason for the time change is that I am returning to full-time employment in mid August. So, I feel that it would be best for me to grab an extra hour of "cushion" time. However, many have asked for a later start time and so I hope this news comes as a happy surprise. Plus, from time to time, I would like to start having events prior to the main event (and not only foosball related events) on a bi-weekly type of format.
With all that in mind, getting the time change actualized is the first step. For the most part, it is a "normal" month with 1 Goalie's Delight event at each venue, 1 event at each venue meant to show some appreciation to our League Players, and the schedule most of us are used to, even though some things are changing.
We do have a 5th Friday coming in August, so if there is any event anyone is really wanting to try out, let me know! |
