RE: Fooser family emegency Dave Monk Varnell

URGENT MESSAGE FOOSER FAMILY!

In my work locating lost and forgotten foosers for the upcoming California FOOSBALL Hall of Fame I ran across a difficult story for one of our foosball brothers. Dave Monk (who goes by Dave Varnell today due to an adoption Issue) was a devout fooser for several decades who supported my Dynamo brown tables and Striker as well as Tornado, local and regional Ca tournaments religiously. He stopped when he moved out of country...

I always feel the toughest story is when disease or health issues dictate that a player may not ever again get to play his love - foosball. Dave was reluctant to ask for help but I said "we the foosball family" have helped before and lets give it a shot. Please read his family's story. They have an urgent need for our help and its real and reasonable.

I have known Dave many years and he is a good decent stand up man of integrity!

Take a look at his wife and beautiful daughter and give whatever you feel you can give (however small pls contribute if you are able) and keep his family in your prayers.

If you just cannot help you can take a minute and share this please.

His STORY:

My Name is Dave Monk Varnell,

My family is in a really desperate situation. Three (3) months ago my wife, Levera had emergency surgery for second stage Thyroid cancer. We were able to cover the cash costs but it wiped out our family savings/resources. I hurt my back 2 months ago and lost my job. I am dealing with Spinal/Sciattica debilitating pain and may never be able to walk, sit, or drive, let a lone play foosball again.

My wife and 5 year old daughter (Kesha) are in the Philippines living in a remote Island in a small house with no roof. I am way beyond my resources/abilities to help them.

She has been out of medicine for two weeks (and the last five days almost comatose/non responsive) We got her to the ER but over there you have to pay before anything will be done to save her life…She needs money right away for the ER and afterwards for food shelter medicine etc...

Thank you so much for your consideration,

David Monk Varnell
