League Tips
Overtime Rule:
To decide what game to play in overtime, one team picks the game type and the other picks the players - in that order! Home team chooses which option to take. (...from section 1.4)

Make sure if you choose a 1-on-1 game that you are confident that your team can win any player matchup your opponent chooses!
Player History:
In the player info section of your team page, you can see...

- your match record for all seasons by clicking the link in the 'experience' section
- your awards history by clicking the link in the 'titles' section
Ratings Tip: Once a match is decided, remaining games don’t affect ratings. No sandbagging allowed!
DID YOU KNOW?

As of December 2025, the Foos Brothers have a combined 19 individual award titles:

6 - HIRED GUN
4 - DOUBLES
4 - FORWARD SHOOTOUT
3 - FIVE BAR WAR
1 - GOALIE WARS
1 - MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
Ratings Tip:
You can see your rating history for all seasons by clicking on the graph icon in the player info section of your team page!
Lateness Rule:
20 mins late? You lose a timeout. 30 mins? You forfeit a game. 1 hour? You forfeit the rest.

(...see section 1.6)

Foos Pulse

World Cup Soccer is Great for Foosball!

The World Cup of football (soccer for us Americans) is happening. The hype is real and millions will be watching and rooting for their favorite teams and players. Four years ago I recall the interest in foosball while the matches were being played. We can use this to our advantage when we are out and about playing our own matches.

There are millions of people living in the greater Phoenix area but there is a minor percentage of those people who play foosball. This World Cup gives us an opportunity to change that, to influence people, to entice new players to become involved. Please be aware of the new spectators. Be prepared to answer questions and pique some interest. Invite them to play, to visit the arizonafoosball website, to somehow get involved!

Wouldn't it be great to double or triple our player base? What kind of fun would it be to have foosball tables nearly everywhere and people learning, participating, funding, and driving even more interest in the bar sport that we love (and hate) so much!

So head's up, be approachable, be friendly and big things can happen!

The 2026 Arizona Foosball League is slated to begin on June 9, and sign-ups are open! The league is open to all players, regardless of experience level (must be 21 or older). The season runs 16 weeks, and the cost is $50 for the season (10% off for early registration). For more details on how the league works, check out the FAQ.

SIGN UP EARLY TO GET YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS & TEAMMATES!

The league signup sheet helps players assemble teams and select playing preferences. Add your name to the list below by clicking the JOIN! link on the top menu.  Note that adding your name to the sheet does not commit you to play or to pay; it merely indicates your availability & preferences.  The sooner you join the list, however, the greater the chance you will obtain your favorite playing locations and partners!  Confirmed teams are grouped together on the sheet by color code; all other players are displayed in plain white.

* YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED A FEE * ...UNTIL A MINIMUM # OF TEAMS HAS BEEN MET AND YOUR TEAM HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY VERIFIED.

Interim League Returns

7pm Wednesdays in East Phoenix (Mesa)

WARNING:

Despite a "kung fu" theme for Interim League events, your kung fu may not improve.

Every Wednesday until the start of the next officially sanctioned season, an Interim League event will be hosted at one of the league locations.  Each event will offer a league-style event as well as pick-up games.  The location and event type will be announced by email or text message each week.  It's a great way to meet veteran league players, introduce new players to the league, win prizes, and just have some good fun and chat!

Details:

■ All players are eligible (NOT limited to veteran league players!).  New players will be given an initial rating by a league coordinator.

■ A small entry fee will be charged, along with a contribution from AZ Foosball, in order to provide prizes for each event, including:

■ The following additional prizes* will be awarded at the end of the interim league period:

·  League Medal to the player with the best overall winning percentage

·  FREE ENTRY  to the next official league season to player with best winning percentage & rating < 4.0

·  50% off league entry fee to player with most interim events played

* Winners must have played in at least 33% of scheduled interim league events.

* Tie-breakers, in order: win pct., most events played, most total points, higher league rating, split.

* Prizes are non-transferable.
